Jan Davison McAtee was born in Dallas, Texas on July 6th, 1932 to William Davison and Evelyn McCulloch. Jan move with her parents as a child, but ended up back in Dallas, where she went to high school and eventually to Southern Methodist University, where she received a degree in education.

Jan had met her husband, Sparrell Harvey Mcatee at SMU and they were married in July of 1955. Jan taught elementary school until she had her first child(Jan Elaine McAtee). She then became a full time mom to Jan and had two more children Sparrell Harvey(jr) and Patricia Fran(Trish).

The family moved for Harvey Senior’s job and landed in Houston in 1969 and laid roots for the balance of Jan’s life.

Jan loved her children, her grandchildren and had the pleasure of welcoming 3 great grandchildren to the world. The babies were precious to her.

Jan is survived by her children, Daughter-Jan Krametbauer (husband Gary), son-Harvey McAtee (wife Wendy) and Tricia Bloom (husband Roy).

Jan had 8 grandchildren-Kimberly Herring, Jacob Krametbauer, Jenny Bloom, Sarah Bloom, Rachel Bloom, Buddy Bloom, Nathan Bloom and Logan McAtee.

Great Grandchildren-Hayleigh Herring, Savannah Herring and Rhett Bloom.
