Rachel Elizabeth “Liz” Estrada, age 59, passed away on January 21, 2018. Liz was born in Houston, Texas, and resided there on the date of her death.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Grace Arausa; her grandparents, Eusebio M. Estrada, Carolina Estrada, and Rachel Arausa; her son, Thomas Erik Lopez; and her two sisters, Malynda Ann Estrada and Tommie Aileen Carmona. She is survived by her parents, Thomas Munoz Estrada and Racheal Ontiveros, and her two siblings, Carolyn Grace Tello and Aaron Garza. She also leaves behind her children, Venessa Lynn Hodges, Ambrose Estrada, and Angelica Estrada-Bell, along with seven beloved grandchildren: Alex, Alicia, Jeremy, John Jr., Erika, Colton and Ellie. She also leaves behind her godmother, Margaret Abalos, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Liz was a very loving, generous and humble person. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved praying, reading the Bible, playing games, writing in her journal, and generally spending time with family and friends. She never held grudges and always had a smile on her face.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the family and friends who reached out to them during this difficult time.

A memorial service to celebrate Liz’s life will be held at The William House, Second Baptist Church, 19449 Katy Freeway, 77094, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
